Lead with Soul, Not Hustle
The other day, when Kelly and I were recording the opening episode of season 4 of the podcast, she hit me with a question that took me by surprise: “What book have we discussed has actually impacted you?”
Without missing a beat, I said, Soul Sourced Entrepreneur by Christine Kane. Because it was one of those books that didn’t just make me think—it made me want to do things differently. Not a lot of books have that effect on me.
For too long, I’ve been hustling hard, ticking off every “must-do” for my businesses but something felt off. Like I was missing the point. Christine’s message hit home: we get so caught up in the grind that we forget why we started in the first place. I’d fallen right into that trap—keeping busy but feeling like there was something missing.
So, I took a step back and made some changes, especially important was I started letting go of things that didn’t fit anymore. I started saying no to work that wasn’t aligned with what I wanted. I walked away from projects that felt heavy and focused on what excited me. Here’s the crazy part— almost immediately, things just fell into place. Clients appeared, joy returned, and I found my groove again.
The takeaway? When your business reflects who you are and what matters to you, things flow. It’s not about working harder; it’s about leading with soul.
So, tell me: What’s one small shift you can make this week to bring your business closer to what you really value?
Because your business should feel good—let’s make it happen. 😊
